How is the quality of those iPod transmitters that you use to listen to your iPod through your car radio?
There are a couple of things to consider. Some have only a few preset stations, and if you aren't able to find a clear channel on one of those stations, it doesn't work for you. Some let you scan the entire range of frequencies - these are better, but if you're in a heavily metropolitan area, you still will have trouble finding a clear frequency.
Even if you are able to find a clear channel, the sound quality is noticeably worse than listening to a radio station, CD, or your iPod through headphones. You're transmitting this to your radio - it's like the quality of a letter after you fax it. The original is crystal clear, but the fax is a little fuzzy. Same with the iPod transmitter. I have one, and I wish I'd returned it when I had the chance.
