Cell phone usage by a person driving a vehicle is illegal in many countries, but if a person uses the same through a cell phone headset, then it become hands-free and may be allowed. However, do keep in mind, that talking on a cell phone while driving is not without its risks, as conversation is a distraction to smooth and safe driving. Indoors, at home or in the office, a phone headset is easy to use and you do not have to carry the phone receiver around either.
