Communicating Your Clarified Vision
By Steve Sjogren | June 2, 2006
One of the huge keys to seeing forward progress, both at a quantitative and qualitative level, is the ability to capture your absolutely clear message succinctly, enthusiastically and continually.
First, spend the needed time capturing your unique vision, your “distinctives.” This can be challenging. I don’t use this blog as a forum to drum up business, but I will mention here, just this once, that I coach several dozen leaders currently. Most of them are working on the clarifying of their focus, vision and primary distinctives. If you feel that this is a high felt need and are stuck in this task, consider contacting me directly to talk over a short-term coaching arrangement with me (stevesjogren[at]mac.com or mobile: 513.910.1996).
Second, once you have adequately captured your distinctives, begin to repeat these throughout your organization on an almost continual basis, morning, noon and night, so to speak. Everyone, after just a couple of weeks of being a part of your group needs to be able to clearly, excitedly, and enthusiastically explain what your organization is about. Your people are your best means of marketing your product! Consider printing your distinctives on cards, and giving these to your team.
