Information about the Podcast

Readers of this blog may wonder why we present three digital downloads of each podcast. Quite simply it is our attempt to provide the content in a way that it will reach the largest potential audience. One of the files is a plain vanilla mono mp3 file. These audio only podcasts are usually less than 5 mb in size. They can also be conveniently played online.
The quicktime movie file is a lower quality video podcast designed for online streaming. The quality is “pretty good” and is only for internet vieweing. The file size is usually less than 10 mb.
The highest quality video podcast files are the m4v files. They are specifically designed for use with a video ipod, although they can also be viewed online. The file size is usually around 50 mb.
The author of the content for Outwardbuzz.com is Steve Sjogren. You can read his bio here. The site is edited by Charlie Wear, editor and publisher of Next-Wave and the editor of Serve!, Sjogren’s newest online offering which is a monthly ezine on living the outward focused life.
The podcast descriptions are written by Charlie and are very brief descriptions of the content contained in each episode. The written posts are forwarded by email to Charlie, usually five posts at a time and are posted on a daily basis.
Okay, that’s probably way more than the average reader wants to know about the nuts and bolts of how this blog and podcast are created. But for those of you interested in that sort of thing, I hope I have scratched your itch.
